Meet Meyo Marrufo

Meyo Marrufo is an Eastern Pomo artist from the Clearlake Basin and a citizen of the Robinson Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians. A visual artist, basket weaver, beader, and curator, her work is deeply rooted in Indigenous tradition while embracing contemporary expression. Through her intricate designs and curated exhibits, Meyo preserves, honors, and evolves the artistic legacy of indigenous culture today.

Teaching & Advocacy

In addition to Meyo’s creative works, she is also an educator and advocate, sharing tribal environmental knowledge, teaching jewelry and basketmaking knowledge, and being an advocate for tribal environmental issues across the nation.
